Σύντομο βιογραφικό

Οι κύριες ερευνητικές δραστηριότητες εστιάζουν στη διάδοση της ηλιακής ακτινοβολίας στην ατμόσφαιρα και τον υπολογισμό της επίδρασης διαφόρων ατμοσφαιρικών παραμέτρων, όπως τα νέφη και τα αιωρούμενα σωματίδια. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίδεται σε θεωρητικούς υπολογισμούς και μετρήσεις ηλιακής ενέργειας, αλλά και στις μεταβολές της υπεριώδους ακτινοβολίας κατά το παρελθόν και το μέλλον λόγω της κλιματικής αλλαγής.

Οι ερευνητικές δράσεις περιλαμβάνουν στην εκτεταμένη χρήση μοντέλων διάδοσης της ακτινοβολίας σε συνέργεια με επίγειες και δορυφορικές μετρήσεις των οπτικών ιδιοτήτων των αιωρούμενων σωματιδίων και των νεφών. Οι πειραματικές δραστηριότητες περιλαμβάνουν την μέτρηση της ολικής, υπεριώδους και ορατής ροής της ηλιακής ακτινοβολίας με τη χρήση διαφόρων τύπων οργάνων και τις διαδικασίες ελέγχου και ανάλυσης των μετρήσεων.
